I swore the owner even said that we can't even find some of the food in Thailand that he cooks. :) Very good food though with excellent service. Deserves to go back to.

This restaurant was friendly and had good service. Unlike some DimSum restaurants I've been to, they appreciate your business.

Thai Basil sure is a hidden gem in the City of Long Beach. Their dishes sure brought back fond food memories I have while traveling in Thailand in October 2007. If you are not sure what to order, simply ask Mr. Gomon and he will bring you great food at reasonable prices. A few MUST TRY dishes when visiting Thai Basil:
Steam Cod in Chili and Lime
Seafood Hor Mok (served in young coconut shell)
Garlic Chicken
If you still have room for dessert, try the Mango with Sweet Sticky Rice. It's the right amount of sweetness with coconut milk flavor and fresh mango.

I just had an event here. Great authentic Thai food. Some dishes like bokchoi in oyster sauce, chicken garlic and seafood Hor mok in young coconut taste like the dish that they serve in a big restaurant in Thailand. The owner came out and taking care of us. He compliment us with mango and sticky rice for desert. Good dinner.

This place gets 5 STARS all across the board! I've been a Thai Basil patron going on 13 years now, and I'm only 25! They've grown as a family run business and have expanded their restaurant and have not changed their amazing menu.
When I go there I usually order:
Spicy Coconut Soup w/ Chicken (my FAV. great for Colds/Hangovers)
BBQ Duck Curry (so creamy with sweet pineapple chunks, and succulent duck morsels.)
And of course you have to order a Thai Iced Tea which is so sweet and yummy.
Something a lot of people don't know is that they also deliver for free. I always tip generously though because this place has always helped me through getting over a cold with their spicy tantalizing delicacies!

You want authentic Thai Food? You've got to try Thai Basil. Thai Basil's food and service was beyond my expectation. Their food taste very similar to large Thai restaurants in Thailand. The owner, Khun Gomon, picked out great dishes for our group. We had Wonton Skin served with sweet & sour sauce, Satay Chicken (tasted like satay in Thailand), Shrimp Rolls (shrimp wrapped in wonton skin), Fish in chili and lime dressing (Awesome!), Pineapple Fried Rice, Hormok (seafood curry served in young coconut), Garlic Chicken (another awesome dish), Pad Kapraw Beef (pretty good), Mixed Vegetable (which was gone before I get to try), and a complimentary Mango with Sticky Rice. Local Thai Food will definitely host another event at Thai Bail.
Food = 5 Stars (Each dish were decorated very nicely, but taste is the best part.)
